The Sami are the last European nomads existing. They live in the arctic and I’ve been documenting them for two years now. The Sami are a bit oppressed by the governments of the countries they live in. More and more of their lands are being used for buildings, sustainable energy or other means. However, the Sami still have their own capital, their own government and even their own songfestival. It’s great to be staying with and living amongst these people who are one with nature. They know every whims of their reindeer, they feel the change of the weather long before anyone else and they know how to survive when a snowstorm hits them for days in a row.
